(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The Central Missouri Mules football team has announced its 2013 schedule, complete with nine MIAA games and a road in-region game with former conference member Truman State. The Mules finished the 2012 season with a 6-4 record, making it their sixth straight winning season.
The Mules open the season at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 hosting reigning MIAA champion Missouri Western. The game will be broadcast on the MIAA Television Network and the day also features the “Get the Red Out” street fair prior to kickoff.
The Mules hit the road to take on Northwest Missouri for a 6 p.m. kickoff in Maryville on Sept. 14. UCM returns home to host Lindenwood on Sept. 21 on Family Weekend.
Central Missouri then hits the road for two straight weeks starting Sept. 28 with a non-conference game against Truman State and at Missouri Southern on Oct. 5.
The Mules alternate home and away games the final five weeks of the season hosting Pittsburg State on Oct. 12, Northeastern State on Oct. 26 for Homecoming and Fort Hays State on Nov. 9 on Senior Day. UCM travels to Edmond, Okla. for the very first time Oct. 19 to take on Central Oklahoma and plays at Nebraska-Kearney on Nov, 2, the first trip to Kearney since 1973.
The NCAA-II Playoffs begin Nov. 23 and will take place each week up until the Division II Championship Game on Dec. 21.
