Aegis Limited plans to hire 300 people in Joplin

(JOPLIN, Mo., AP) — Aegis Limited says it plans to hire 300 people during the next four months for its Joplin call center.

Aegis official Kevin Nolan said the company currently employees about 400 people at the Joplin call center, which serves between six and eight company clients. Nolan says some of the new jobs will be full-time temporary and others will be permanent, but he did not have a breakdown.

The Joplin Globe reports (http://bit.ly/13SDLl3) the company is encouraging people who speak English and Spanish to apply, but is also looking for employees who are fluent in Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean.
