AG: Missouri will get $2M in settlement with drug company

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., AP) — Missouri consumers will get $2 million of a multi-state settlement with a pharmaceutical company.

Attorney General Chris Koster said Thursday in a release that Missouri will get about $2 million of the $125 million, 48-state settlement with drug maker Cephalon. About $766,000 of that $2 million will go to Missouri consumers who bought the drug Provigil.

He says the settlement ends a multistate investigation into conduct by Cephalon that delayed generic versions of Provigil from entering the market for years. The company denied wrongdoing.

The settlement is subject to court review.
