Alice Lee Drake, 92, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Saturday, March 28, at Country Club Care Center.

She was born Nov. 18, 1922, in San Jose, California, the daughter of Earl Bruce and Edna Mae (Varner) Bobo.

She was united in marriage to Hugh Proctor Drake on March 17, 1940, in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1982.

Alice worked as an operation officer for Community Bank in Downy, California, for 15 years. She later worked for Lake Havasu Landing Resort in Havasu Landing, California, for 28 years and retired at 80 years old. Alice moved to Warrensburg in 2003 to live with her grandson Steve.

Alice is survived by one son, Hugh Proctor Drake Jr. and wife, Lynne, of Warrensburg; one daughter, Carolyn Lee Johnson and husband, Alvin, of Mesquite, Nevada; three grandsons, Steve Johnson, of Warrensburg; Hugh Proctor Drake III, of Rosamond, California; and Wayne Drake, of Glendale, California; one granddaughter, Jane Murphree, and husband, Dean, of Tehachapi, California; one niece, Barbara Lucas, of California; 12 great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law, Margaret Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Garrett Drake.

Cremation is planned and a private service is planned for a later date.
