Chad Alan Parsons, 50, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Western Missouri Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Moss officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Pallbearers will be Steve Nace, David Hill, D.D. Stoneking, Mike Nussbaum, Mike Murray, Todd Hook, Drew Smith, Harley Nussbaum, Mac McMullin, Larry Wallace, Mack Murray, Ronnie Green, John Davis, Kevin Gardner, Troy Matthews, Travis Williams, Danny Noe, and Chris White. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
He was born March 2, 1967, in Warrensburg, the son of Skip and Marilyn Parsons.
On Aug. 11, 1990, he and AnJanell Wyre were united in marriage in Centerview.
Chad is survived by his wife, AnJanell; his parents, Skip and Marilyn Parsons; a daughter, Kelsey Parsons; two sons, Hunter Parsons and Breyer Parsons; an adopted daughter, Leah Gardner; three brothers, Jason Parsons and wife, Debbie; Lance Parsons and wife, Tiffany; and Travis Parsons and wife, Kyla; and a granddaughter, Tannyn Johnson, all of Warrensburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several dear friends that are family.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 16, at Drew Smith’s farm.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Tannyn’s Education Fund, with checks made payable to AnJanell Parsons or to the Johnson County 4-H, and can be left in care of the funeral home.
