(WARRENSBURG, Mo., digitalBURG) — Warrensburg is expanding its shopping and dining options.
Chipotle will be located on the corner of state Route 13 and Sparks Avenue – the lot where KFC previously stood, according to the Warrensburg Community Development Department. The demolition of the former KFC has already begun. Chipotle specializes in tacos and burritos in its more than 2,000 locations worldwide.
Zaxby’s plans to open a restaurant near the Aldi supermarket on Simpson Drive just north of Wal-Mart. Zaxby’s is a casual restaurant chain with more than 800 locations that serves chicken, sandwiches and salads.
MC Sports is a retail sporting goods chain that operates more than 70 stores in the Midwest. The company is building a new store next to the Carmike theater.
None of the businesses have set an opening date, according to the Community Development Department.
Since it was announced that these businesses were coming to Warrensburg, many residents took to Twitter to show their support for the additions.
