Elizabeth Joan DeClue, 73 of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Thursday, Aug. 31, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.
There will be a private interment at the Knob Noster Cemetery at a later date.
Elizabeth was born June 1, 1944, in Whitney, England, the daughter of John and Joan Hudson. She met Elliott R. DeClue while he was in the US Air Force, and stationed in England. The couple was united in marriage on Nov. 23, 1963, in Cote, England. Due to Elliott’s military career, the couple resided all over the United States through the years, as well as returning to England at one point, and also Vietnam. Elizabeth was a travel agent with Crown Travel in Knob Noster, Missouri. Later, she was employed with Bank of Holden for several years. From 1981 to 1985, she was a member of Whiteman British Wives Club. She also volunteered at Western Missouri Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Elliott; daughter Deborah Babineaux and husband, Richard of Knob Noster; son, Stuart DeClue and wife, Jan, of Parkville, Missouri; sister, Margaret Hudson of Christ Church, England; brother, David Hudson and wife, Pat, of England; four grandchildren, Heather Brainard, Jessica Layton and husband, Josh, Alexa DeClue and Kylie DeClue; and four great-grandchildren, Aiden Brainard, Landyn Babineaux, Aurora Layton and Emma Kirkbride. She was preceded in death by her parents.
