The 5^th annual Burg Fest is scheduled for Sept. 22 through 23.

The two-day outdoor festival will include live music, entertainment, children’s activities, classic car show, beer garden, outdoor movie, cornhole tournament, 5K Glow Run, wing eating contest, Burg Fest pageant, Warrensburg Farmers’ Market, craft and informational booths, and of course lots of food.

The festivities will kick off on Friday night, with the children’s area and vendor booths opening at 4 p.m.  The opening ceremony for the festival will begin at 6 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Judicial Center in Downtown Warrensburg. The opening ceremony will include the presenting of the colors along with the national anthem performed by local Julie Curtis and Warrensburg Mayor Byran Jacobs will officially open the festival. Immediately following the opening ceremonies, live music will start in the beer garden on the main stage with one of Warrensburg’s favorite bands Random Access followed by another crowd favorite The Nace Brothers.

Check out the performance stage on Saturday, that will be located in front of the Downtown Courthouse.  The stage will be packed all day with live performances from a variety of local talent. The Farmers’ Market and the Warrensburg Wheels Car Show will also add to the excitement on Saturday. Saturday night the live music continues in the beer garden on the main stage with performances by Mudflap Mafia and 80’s cover band Member’s Only.

Friday and Saturday there will be a Cornhole Tournament in the beer garden area. On Saturday morning, the Burg Fest pageant will be happening in front of the Downtown Courthouse and in the evening, you can participate in the Mazzio’s Wing Eating Contest. The fun is not over yet, Saturday night the entire family can participate in the popular Burg Fest 5K Glow Run.

The festival will be concentrated around the Downtown Courthouse, the Farmers’ Market will be on Market Street and the Warrensburg Wheels Car Show will be located on Gay Street. The Burg Fest offers a wide variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy, be sure to check out the website and Facebook page for a complete list of information and activities.  Some of the events require prior registration for participation so be sure to sign up today.
