Care Connection offers Health Insurance Marketplace enrollment help

Care Connection for Aging Services will offer a free event to help people enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace on Friday, Dec. 11, at the Trails Regional Library.
The agency will have trained navigators who will guide people through the choices of health insurance during the enrollment event from 8:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 11 at the library, located at 432 N. Holden St.
The event is for people of all ages who need to enroll themselves or their families in the Health Insurance Marketplace for 2016. While people may enroll until Jan. 31, they must be enrolled in the Marketplace by Dec. 15 in order for coverage effective Jan. 1.
Only consumers who enroll through the online Marketplace and will receive tax credits, if they are eligible.
People need to bring Social Security numbers, household income information, as well as the dates of birth for those who need insurance. Call 800-748-7826 for an appointment. Walk-ins will be accepted, time permitting.
