The sixth annual Out of the Darkness community walk to fight suicide will be held on the UCM campus Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. The walk will start in front of the Morris Science building. Registration begins from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Opening remarks at11:30 a.m., then the walk begins at 12:05 p.m.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) hosts the Out of the Darkness community walks to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention, that allow AFSP to invest in new
research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.

The event will feature a bake sale, cosplayers, and the mayor will be present to read a suicide prevention proclamation.
