Care Connection for Aging Services will host a Medicare 101 workshop for newcomers to the program.

The 30-minute workshop is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at Trails Regional Library, 432 N. Holden St., Warrensburg. The presentation is free and open to the public. People will learn about enrollment in Medicare, benefits, premiums and deductibles. Participants also can learn about where to find additional help to pay for prescriptions and medical care.

Care Connection partners with CLAIM, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, to provide local help for people with Medicare in its 13-county West Central Missouri district, according to a Care Connection news release.
