Frances Jane “Frannie” DeBacker, 79, of Warrensburg, died Monday, Nov. 19, after a brief illness.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Randy Neal officiating. A private interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the funeral home.
She was born June 21, 1939, the daughter of Frank and Margaret Howland in Kansas City, Missouri.
She and Joe DeBacker were united in marriage on Sept. 6, 1958, in Kansas City.
Frannie was a longtime resident of Warrensburg. She was a florist designer and co-owner of DeBacker Flower & Garden. She was a member of the Grover Park Baptist Church, and she volunteered for the Warrensburg Medical Center Auxiliary and the Missouri Veterans Home.
Frannie is survived by her husband, Joe; her children, Ed DeBacker, of Warsaw, Missouri; Jeff DeBacker, of Centerview, Missouri; and Diane (John) Sarantakos, of Norman, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Towner Sarantakos, Jess Blevens, Jamie DeBacker, Shelby Taylor and Madison Sarantakos; her great-grandchildren, Hanna Blevens, Maleia Sarantakos, Lukas Blevens and Wyatt Sarantakos; and her siblings, Marlen Dibben, Carol Sangkhanet, Bob Conroy and Bill Conroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael DeBacker.
