(LAWRENCE, Kan.) — The Central Missouri Jennies Golf team shot a final round 349 and finished in fifth place at the MIAA Championships at Alvamar Country Club on Wednesday. It is the best MIAA finish for the Jennies in just their second season of competition.
Kelley Welker led the Jennies with a 10th place finish. She shot a final round 83 and finished at 36-over par, 252. She was one shot out of ninth place.
Alexa Boatman finished in 20th place with a 267 after a final round 85. Maranda Smith was 27th after firing a three-round total of 275. Kaitlyn Marsh was two shots back in 28th place and Kayla Temple finished in 30th place with a 280.
Central Oklahoma captured the team championship with a three-round total of 958, while Baylee Price of Northeastern State was the individual champion at 17-over par, 233.
The MIAA will release the women’s all-conference team next week.
