University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer kicks off the 2013 season beginning this Friday, September 6 and Sunday, September 8th against two Central region soccer powerhouses. Friday, the Jennies will open on the road at Winona State out of Winona, Minn. beginning at 7 p.m. then travel to Minnesota State in Mankato to take on the Mavericks on Sunday, according to a press release.

Central Missouri is coming off a 16-2-5 campaign capped off with its third consecutive MIAA Regular Season Title and a Sweet 16 appearance against Minnesota State.

The Jennies will be returning six starters, led by seniors Carly Stanley, Becky and Cindy Lackey and sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Hartzler. This group will be counted on to replace the departed 2012 Ken B. Jones winner and 2012 MIAA Soccer Player of the Year Kayla Shain and 2012 All-Central Region selection Jenna Stones.
