(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) — The Central Missouri men’s golf team claimed the top spot in the initial NCAA-II Central Region Rankings as announced on April 3. The top 10 teams in the rankings will qualify for the NCAA-II Super Regional May 4-6.
The Mules have six top-five finishes out of seven tournaments played this season, including the team title at the Missouri Western/Holiday Inn Express Classic in the fall. UCM was fifth at last week’s Barry Invitational, which featured six of the top 20 teams in the nation.
The top 10 teams in the final Central Region rankings on April 24 will join the top 10 teams from the Midwest Region for the NCAA-II Super Regional, which will be played at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Illinois. The next set of rankings will be released on Friday, April 10.
The Mules are back in action today and tomorrow at the Dallas Baptist Classic at Hackberry Country Club in Las Colinas, Texas.
