Harold was born on April 6, 1944 in Warrensburg, the son of Ralph Harold and Vinita (Wilks) Luvin Sr.

If you were somebody even remotely close to Harold, you’ve definitely heard things like “I’ll tell you a dozen different ways before I lie about it,” or, “Good enough for the girls I go out with.” Some of his other favorite sayings were: “I had an old girlfriend like that,” “Monjingo,” “Copacetic,” “The fish gain a pound every mile we go home,” “Colder than a witches tits in an iron bra,” “Tighter than a bulls’ ass at fly time,” “We’ve got all the time in the world,” “Patience is a virtue,” and the one that he always told his granddaughters, “I love you, did you know that?”

He was an ornery, laid-back fisherman and gardener who never met a stranger in his life and always had an open ear to listen with the beer on ice. Not only was he a husband, a father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather; he was a friend, a story teller, a mentor, a role model and so much more. He taught many lessons and left impressions on almost everyone he met, it’s impossible to forget all of the fond memories he left us with. Until the very end, he always wanted to ensure that the people he cared about were happy and taken care of. He’s with us in everything we do, every thought we have and will always be in our hearts.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Timothy Luvin and a sister Kathy Munsterman.

He is survived by his wife of the home Sharon Luvin; daughter, Susan (Robert) Sullins of Leeton and son, Charles (Kristi) Luvin of Centerview. Harold is also survived by grandchildren T.J. (Meagan) Sullins, and their children Mason and Mila Sullins, and Jakob (Beth) Sullins and Shiane and Sierra Sullins. Harold also leaves a sister, Sharon Joy Shull of Stover, Missouri.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Harold Luvin Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Sharon Luvin and can be left in care of the funeral home.
