(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The Spotlight student organization is bringing a Hijab Challenge to the University of Central Missouri campus Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Union 240.
A free cultural and informational presentation is scheduled for 5-8 p.m.
The Hijab Challenge encourages women from non-Islamic cultures to experience Islamic culture by wearing a traditional scarf for one day to one week. Muslim women wear these scarves to cover their hair and necks when in the presence of most males.
A Hijab table will be set up in Union 240 where participants can check-out a Hijab receive help to put it on.
