(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Central Missouri junior right-handed pitcher Travis Higgs was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week following his performance in a 10-0 UCM win at Fort Hays State on Sunday afternoon.

The Jacksonville, Fla. native, tossed six solid innings scattering six hits and didn’t allow a run. He walked just one and struck out five.

Higgs is now 1-0 on the season with a 1.74 ERA in two starts.
