The Warrensburg Tigers had a tough loss against the Sedalia Tigers Friday, falling 42-6.

Sedalia moved to 2-3, while the Warrensburg Tigers fell to 0-5. The Sedalia team retained the Silver Tiger trophy for the third year in a row.

The team was pumped after sophomore Jacob Carter scored their only touchdown, but Sedalia, led by 100-yard rushers Chance McMullin and Dakota Brown, were too tough.

“We fought until the last second, but we didn’t execute the little things when we needed to and let Sedalia get good momentum early,” said wide receiver Bo Mackey.

The Warrensburg Tigers went in with the mindset that it would be their night.

“The guys played with a lot of emotion and I could see in their eyes they wanted to win,” said quarterback Cooper Collier. “We just needed to make more plays.”

The Sedalia bleachers were packed with Warrensburg fans, cheering until the end.

The Warrensburg Tigers take on the Center High School Yellowjackets (3-2) on Friday.
