(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Jennies Softball junior outfielder Medora West was named first team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District on Thursday evening. West is a junior safety management major with a spotless 4.0 GPA. She will be graduating this spring.

The St. Louis, Mo. native batted .350 this season, second-highest on the team, with 56 hits in 160 at bats. She had a home run, a triple and nine doubles to go along with 19 runs batted in. West also tied for a team-best in total bases with 70 and was an impressive 17-19 in stolen base attempts. She started all 46 games this season.

West is a two-time MIAA Academic Excellence Award winner and MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree. She is also a two-time NFCA Division II All-America Scholar Athlete award winner.

West is now eligible for CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America consideration.
